Instructions for canceling the 15-minute 1100 yen/month call package (放題).15-minute (standard) free call of Rakuten Mobile

Overview

As you may already know, Rakuten Mobile allows you to make free calls to any domestic (Japanese) phone number through the Rakuten Link app .

Without using Rakuten Link, the standard call fee is 22 yen per 30-second block.
Rakuten frequently displays advertisements "inviting" users to sign up for an additional 15-minute unlimited call package (放題) that normally costs 1100 yen/month when you open the My Rakuten Mobile app. If you don't really need it and tend to click "Next" without reading carefully, you can easily sign up for this package by mistake.

This article provides detailed instructions, including screenshots, on how to cancel this service package!

Necessary preparations

• I'm currently using Rakuten Mobile (of course :D)

• Have you installed the My Rakuten Mobile app (if not, you can log in from the web).

• There's the My Rakuten Mobile app, or you can log in via the website (the interfaces are similar).

Steps to follow

1. From the My Rakuten Mobile home screen, tap the Lines tab in the center, at the bottom.

2. In this Lines tab , if you are using the 1100 yen/month call service, scroll to the bottom, to the section YOUR CURRENT SERVICES. You will find information about the 15-minute (standard) free call package .

3. Click on this service to view details, then click cancel service: CANCEL SERVICE

4. This step asks for confirmation that you really want to cancel; you must click CONTINUE . It 's quite confusing! =))

5. This step asks you why you canceled the service in the Anketto section... Just select and fill in whatever you like, then click CONTINUE.

6. Click the SAVE CHANGES button to confirm the cancellation.

7. That's it. Absolutely do not click the STOP CANCELLATION button . Otherwise, it will undo the cancellation you just made =))
